Abstract

Background: The life of household-headed females often face many problems in many social and psychological aspects. Studies have shown some psychological issues regarding the empowerment of household-headed females. Investigating demographic and psychological factors and empowering such women is a research gap. Aims: The present study aimed to investigate the demographic and psychological factors affecting career success of household-headed females covered by the Welfare Organization and to present an empowerment model for these women. Method: The method of this study was quantitative and survey. The statistical population of this study consisted of household-headed females covered by the Welfare Organization in Tehran and Alborz provinces during 2015-2018. 266 participants were selected through multi-stage random sampling. Research instruments were the demographic questionnaire, the McCree & Costa NEO Personality Questionnaire (1985), Abedi Creativity (1984), Cattell Intelligence (1994), Reza Khani Coping Strategies (2009), and researcher-made questionnaire on parenting role. Chi-square, t-test, analysis of variance, and logistic regression were used for data analysis. Results: The results showed that creativity (0/427), parenting role (0/313), education (0/287), conscientiousness (-0/340), and emotion-focused strategy (-0/014) explained career success of household-headed females (p≤0/001). The findings of the present study also led to a mathematical model of empowering household-headed females. Conclusions: Creativity, parenting role, education, conscientiousness, and emotion-focused strategy can be used to promote appropriate empowerment of household-headed females covered by the Welfare Organization.

Abstract

Background: Research has examined the role of creativity and organizational learning and the factors affecting social anxiety. But there is a research gap between the role of creativity in organizational learning and the social anxiety of teachers. Aims: This study was conducted to study the role of creativity in organizational learning and social anxiety of teachers. Method: This research is a kind of applied research with structural model approach that used correlation method as the research method. The statistical population of this study consisted of all teachers of MeshkinShahr County Education Organization in which 274 participants were selected as the research participants and random sampling method was used to select participants. Data collection tools included Abedi Creativity Questionnaire (1993), Pham & Swierczek Organizational Learning Questionnaire (2006) and Connor et al Social Anxiety Questionnaire (2000). Structural equation method and Pearson correlation coefficient were used to analyze the data. Result: The results of data analysis showed that creativity had an effect on organizational learning and social anxiety (p≤ 0/005); It means that creativity can explain 77 percent factor load of organizational learning and 73 percent factor load of social anxiety of teachers. Conclusions: Creativity is an important factor in explaining social anxiety and organizational learning of teachers. So that, creativity can be considered as a predictor factor of teachers’ social anxiety and organizational learning.

Abstract

Background: The ability to create and maintain safe and stable intimate relationships at the beginning of cohabitation helps couples to experience a secure attachment style in emotional communication. Insecure attachment style is one of the most important causes of interpersonal problems in the relationships of young couples. Studies have shown that immunization of couples is effective in improving attachment behaviors and increasing their sexual satisfaction. Research by the researchers showed that so far no intervention based on mentallization and educational package of building a lasting connection on attachment behaviors and sexual satisfaction of insecure spouses in the early years of married life.
Aims: The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating The effect of the integrated intervention of mentallization and educational package of building a lasting connection on attachment behaviors and sexual satisfaction among insecure spouses.
Methods: The design of the current research was a semi-experimental type of pre-test, post-test with a control group and a two-month follow-up. The statistical population of the research included all the couples who referred to counseling and psychological service centers in the north of Tehran in 2022, who were living together in the first five years of their life. Using the purposeful sampling method, 24 couples with insecure attachment style were identified as the statistical sample of the present study and were randomly replaced in two experimental and control groups (12 couples in each group). The combined intervention of mentallization and educational package of building a lasting connection was implemented for 12 weeks of weekly training of 120 minutes for the experimental group, but the couples of the control group did not receive any intervention. To collect data, questionnaires of Relationship Scales (Bartholomew and Horotiz, 1991), sexual Satisfaction (Larson et al., 1998) and Brief Accessibility, Responsiveness and Engagement Scale (Sandberg et al., 2012) were used. The data were analyzed using the method of analysis of variance with repeated measurements and Benferoni's post hoc test and SPSS25 software.
Results: The findings of this research showed that the integrated intervention of mentalization and the educational package of building a stable bond has a positive and significant effect on the attachment behaviors and sexual satisfaction of couples (p<0.01) and the results have continued after two months of follow-up.
Conclusion: According to the obtained results, it seems that couple therapists can use the integrated intervention of mentallization and educational package of building a lasting connection to increase sexual satisfaction and optimize attachment behaviors in couples with insecure attachment style who are in the early years of life together.
