زمینه: افسردگی یکی از مشکلات بیماران مبتلا به دیابت نوع ۲ است که تاثیر منفی بر پیامدهای بالینی بیماری دارد؛ ازاینرو شناخت رابطه علّی مرتبط با آن اهمیت زیادی دارد. رفتارهای خودمدیریتی از عوامل مهم در سلامت بیماران می‌باشند، اما نحوه رابطه آنها با افسردگی، به‌طور کامل مشخص نشده است. شفقت به خود به‌عنوان یک فرایند میانجی‌گر نقش مهمی در رابطه بین رفتارهای خودمدیریتی و افسردگی ایفا کند؛ بنابراین بررسی مدل علّی این روابط ضروری به نظر می‌رسد.
هدف: هدف این پژوهش، مدل‌یابی روابط علّی افسردگی براساس رفتارهای خودمدیریتی با میانجی‌گری شفقت به خود در بیماران مبتلا به دیابت نوع ۲ بود.
روش:از نظر هدف، کاربردی و از نظر روش، توصیفیپیمایشی با رویکرد مدل‌یابی معادلات ساختاری بود. جامعه آماری پژوهش شامل تمامی بیماران مبتلا به دیابت نوع ۲ مراجعه‌کننده به مراکز تخصصی درمان دیابت شهر تهران در نیمه اول سال ۱۴۰۴ بود. حجم نمونه ۳۰۰ نفر با روش نمونه‌گیری هدفمند داوطلبانه تعیین شد. ابزارهای تحقیق عبارتند از: پرسشنامه افسردگی، اضطراب و استرس (لاویبوند و لاویبوند، 1995)، پرسشنامه خودمدیریتی (حسین‌زادگان و همکاران، 1400)، و پرسشنامه شفقت به خود (ریس و همکاران، 2011). به‌منظور تجزیه‌وتحلیل داده‌ها از  مدل‌سازی معادلات ساختاری و نرم‌افزار Smart PLS3 استفاده شد.
یافته­ها:رفتارهای خودمدیریتی تأثیر مستقیم و معناداری بر میزان افسردگی، شفقت به خود دارد. هر چه بیماران در انجام رفتارهای خودمدیریتی مثل کنترل قندخون و فعالیت بدنی عملکرد مطلوب تری داشته باشند سطح افسردگی آنها پایین و میزان شفقت به خود آنها افزایش می یابد. همچنین، شفقت به خود بر افسردگی تأثیر معناداری داشته است (p<0.05).
نتیجه‌گیری:رفتارهای خودمدیریتی از طریق افزایش شفقت به خود، تأثیر مثبت و معناداری بر کاهش افسردگی در بیماران مبتلا به دیابت نوع ۲ ایفا می‌کند. بنابراین، توجه به آموزش رفتارهای خودمدیریتی و تقویت شفقت به خود در برنامه های درمانی و روانشناختی می تواند سبب بهبود سلامت روان این بیماران شود.
