Background: Speech disorder is one of the most important disorders of growth.that A disorder is considered to be a range of psychological problems. Aims: The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effectiveness of speech therapy method on psychological symptoms (social relationships and anxiety) and psychological abilities (self-confidence and self-concept). Method: The research method used in this study was a semi-experimental method of pre-test and post-test design with control group. The statistical population of the study consisted of all young people aged 20-40 years with stuttering disorders in Tehran. The sample size is 30 people. In each group, 15 subjects were placed Multi-variable covariance analysis was used to analyze the data. results: The results indicated that there was a difference between the mean scores of self-concept, self-esteem, social relationships, and anxiety among speech therapy and control groups (p<0.05).  Conclusions: This means that the speech therapy method has affected self-concept, self-esteem, social relations and anxiety.
