Abstract:   (19 Views)
Background: The analysis of data related to Lacan's mirror stage has been conducted using the conceptual analysis method. This process involved identifying and extracting key concepts related to the "I" and "its formation" and organizing them based on the research objective. However, limitations of this study include the limited number of sources examined and the analysis of theories from a restricted range of philosophers.
Aims: Data analysis related to Lacan's mirror stage has been conducted using a conceptual analysis method. This process involved identifying and extracting key concepts that related to the "I", "its genesis" and organizing them based on the research objective. However, the limitations of this study include the limited number of sources examined and the analysis of theories of the limited range of philosophers.
Methods: This study, using conceptyal analysis method to examin Lacan's primary texts and relating philosophical interpretations, analyzing the semantic structures, theoretical contrasts, and connections between key concepts of Lacanian psychoanalysis such as the "Mirror stage," "Ego," "Self," "Identity," "Fragmented body," and "castration anxiety" in Lacan's article on the mirror stage, which is about "the ego and its emergence." This approach systematicly helps to analyss examine and analyze different theories and identify common points and differences (Rodgers & Knafl, 1993). The theorical framework of the study is based on Lacanian psychoanalysis, concepts related to the subject, the Other, and the symbolic order. To enrich the analysis, the perspectives of philosophers who influenced Lacan, including Hegel (interaction of the subject and the other) and Freud (the unconscious and the structure of the ego, have been used (Rapaport, 1952).
Results: The findings suggest the significant role of Lacan's mirror stage in the formation of the "self." This stage, by creating a sense of identity, leads to alienation and conflicts arising from dependence on ideal images and social expectations.
Conclusion: Lacan's mirror stage, with the formation of the "I" through social interactions, is the origin of identity conflicts, and this research can help to understand it, contributing to self-awareness and resolving the conflicts of contemporary life.
