Currently family based Therapies have been considered one of the important approaches to prevent children from psychological pathologies these approaches have been acknowledged by parents and professionals as well. Therefore customizing intervention programs have been highly suggested by professionals. Aim: aim of the current study was studying the effectiveness of customized play therapy (CPT( in reduction of symptoms of restlessness in children. To fulfill the stated goal from preschool centers, 10 preschools were selected by means of random sampling and from this universe (574 children) based on principals report, and information contained in children's academic records, 53 preschoolers ages 4-6 were selected. These children were screened based on researcher made questionnaires to ensure that all have symptoms of restlessness in the spectrum from light to sever. Then 24 mothers of these children were selected and were placed in experimental and control groups. Experimental group were placed in intervention condition lasting for 10 sessions, while the control group received no treatment data were analyzed by repeated measure Anova. Results: results of the study indicated customized play therapy was effective in reducing restless children's symptoms. Therefore, it is to say that customized play therapy was an effective approach in reducing symptoms. These data have been discussed interims of usefulness for psychologist.
