Background: Analytical psychology is the examination of the conscious and unconscious area of the individual and the whole, and Jung is the founder of this type of psychology. This view is famous for criticizing our interdisciplinary archetype between literature and psychology with which literary texts are analyzed. Golestan is considered a strong verse of the Persian language, which is a conscious and unconscious product of Saadi's mind and soul, because he is the creator of a literary masterpiece in the Persian language and literature, has theoretical and practical wisdom, and is a mufti of opinion. In Golestan, he used the archetype of "wise old man" in the form of words such as: sage, old man, mentor, master, wise man, wise man, etc.
Aims: The aim of this study is to Examining the archetype of the wise old man in Golestan Saadi from the perspective of Jung's analytical psychology.
Methods: Recognizing archetypes is one of the ways of self-knowledge, by studying them we gain awareness of the realm of existence and the process of individuality. Archetypes are the common mental and psychological fingerprints of humans, which are manifested and embodied in our individual and collective unconscious, and they form a large part of our identity and are effective in our destiny.
Results: In Saadi's thought, the word wisdom is an archetype and a missing link in Iranian society, and he has used it for education in most of his stories. Words such as: Khwaja Alam (pbuh), Luqman, Olwal al-Bab, wise, wise, king, mentor, wise man, good luck and predecessors, wise, dervish, Anushirvan Adel, ascetic, Mashaikh, Hatem Ta'i, reliable scholar, Galen, old man, Pious, jurist, sahibdil, Sheikh Ajl Abul Faraj bin Jozi, who was his teacher in Nizamiyyah. Saadi beautifully visualized and manifested the archetype of Pir Farzaneh in the form of symbols, symbols and allegories, and this itself was a proof that his mind and soul were influenced by the archetype of Pir Farzaneh.
Conclusion: In Golestan, Saadi has all kinds of introverted and There are extroverts with sensory, emotional, thinking and intuitive functions as divided by Jung, who play different roles in stories. Therefore, Saadi's epistemic source has been the realm of his collective unconscious, and with his literary style and context, he has mentioned such concepts in the form of anecdotes and stories with the theme of educational ethics, and in a relationship of mutual influence, he has been influenced by both archetypes and them. Has enriched it and thus addressed the individual and social norms and anomalies of human beings. Which are useful for modern man.
