In this research, statistical methods of Pearson correlation and simultaneous and stepwise regression analysis have been used. The results of analysis with Pearson correlation showed that there is a significant relation between all the predictor variables (except the subscale of perceived social support) with the academic self-efficacy. The results of  multiple regression analysis also indicated that the variables of positive and negative perfectionism as well as family communication patterns (conversation orientation) have respectively the most potential for prediction of the academic self-efficacy.
