The study of effectiveness of participation in group existential analysis sessions is important as one of the therapeutic approaches to reduce the impact of stress. Not only the Stress causes many syndromes such as cardiovascular problems, asthma, gastritis, headache, and other somatic symptoms, it also intensifies these disturbances.The research has been done to study the effectiveness of participating in the session’s group existential analysis with respect to the basic concepts from the psychotherapist’s point of view that is the patron of existentialism, discussions and experimental analysis of these concepts in the group in order to reduce stress in female university students. The design of the research were done by control group whit pre- posttest model with semi-experimental method. In this research 30female students of under graduated level of social sciences faculty of Razi university was voluntarily participated. The participants were assigned randomly into two groups: experimental group and control group. 15persons of experimental group in during 6-weeks and 9-sessions, each session 90-minutes were performed group session of existential analysis intervention but control group did not get such intervention. The data collection was done by the perceived stress scale (PSS). The data analysis was performed by analysis of covariance (ANCOVA(. The findings of the research indicate the significant effectiveness of participating in group existential analysis sessions in reducing the stress in female students .
